My jolla has arrived! And it looks great! I haven’t spent much time with it yet. But I am hopeful.
I already have my reservations. I assume there will be plenty of issues getting my Norwegian banking and identity apps to work (if at all, due to my reluctance to send passport photos to 3rd parties), so while not all of these issues are going to be the Jolla’s fault. I assume they will cause me headaches nonetheless.
For me to be able to make a full permanent switch, it needs to be able to handle:
- Payments through Vipps and maybe Bank ID unless I am forced to send passport photos.
- Connecting to my music library.
- Matrix
- Signal
- IRC
- Connecting to my FastMail
I will accept any solution that needs me to fall through to AppSupport and using Google Services, as I am using them to day anyway. I would like to decouple further in the future.
